Chrome Continues to Be Default Pdf

Can you right-click on one of the files that have changed to a chrome HTML file and go properties?
On the General Tab, Click on the "Change" button and select "Adobe Reader" from the list. Click Apply and Ok to save these changes. This should change all your files to open with Adobe Reader

Hi Ru Herath,
I already do the changes you mentioned above but after I restart or shut down PC the problem still there. Default still as chrome HTML files.

I have few laptop using windows 10 have this problem, Adobe reader in my windows 10 after set as default keeps changing default as chrome HTML files after windows restarted/windows update.
1. I have uninstall windows update.
2. Update and repaired google chrome version to the latest.
3. Reinstall and repaired adobe reader.Did anyone have facing this issue can help me to solve this issue.

Adobe cannot read HTML files
AFAIK: Adobe is a PDF reader not a Website (HTML)

Hi Pranav,
Sorry its not .html file, its Chrome HTML Document set as default. Please see below picture, even I changed the default as adobe reader. It keep show this after I restart the PC.

Let's do some system scans. They will look for any system corruption and will fix it.
Press Windows key and X key
Power menu will appear
Select Powershell(Admin)
Open it
NOTE:
Do one scan at a time.
Some of these scans will take some time to finish.
Type,
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Hit Enter.
Type,
sfc /scannow
Hit Enter.
Type,
chkdsk /v /f /r C:
Hit Enter.
When asked to schedule it,
Type Y
Now type this to restart the system,
Shutdown /r

Uninstall Chrome

Uninstall Adobe PDF Reader

Install Adobe PDF Reader

Try open random PDF with Adobe PDF Reader

Install Chrome
(Do this in order as above).
On Windows 10: Click on MS icon on left corner of the task bar (4 rectangles or windows sign)2. Right click > Control panel > Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations3. Sort by Description (Other available options are Name, Current Default)4. You will notice that the (Adobe Acrobat Document) PDF files have been associated with Chrome html or other similar file types like firefox etc
